Heather and Mark were married at the Marnie Davis Park in Occoquan, VA. They had a intimate ceremony followed by a portrait session by the water.

Welcome to our blog! We are based outside of Washington D.C. but we find ourselves traveling all over to photograph amazing events and people. Sit back and check out some of our latest work featuered here!
Last Friday morning, was not the warmest of mornings at all, but you could find me hanging out in front of the Lincoln Memorial in DC. I was there to photograph waiting to spot Pratik and his girlfriend, Ronak. They had flown in from Texas the evening before and were spending Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend in DC. Pratik wanted to kick it off by proposing to Ronak, and he did just that, AND she said YES!
Here are a some of my favorites from the surprise proposal:
Jade was one of my roommates at Elizabethtown College. She and I had a ton of fun living together in a cramped college dorm room. At the beginning of the fall semester of our junior year, she took me to her family's annual camping trip. Before going, she warned me to stay away from her brother's friends. They were "trouble." During the trip, she met Ryan... one of her brother's friends. The chemistry between them was instant. They started dating, and they have been together ever since. Years later, Jade and Ryan got married in Montego Bay, Jamaica at the Iberostar Resort! I was able to make the trip out there and photograph their gorgeous wedding.
Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding:
So morning after their wedding, Kate and Nick were troopers and came out for a sunrise session on the beach!
Here are a few of my favorites:
I have known Kate and Nick forever. Nick and I grew up in the same neighborhood. Kate and I played lacrosse together in high school. They started dating in high school and have been together ever since. Scott and I traveled to Bethany Beach, Delaware for their rehearsal dinner, wedding at the Bethany Beach Ocean Suites, and sunrise trash the dress session.
You can find the sunrise session here.

So. This is one of those weddings that I gushed over while photographing it and will gush over it every time I look at it. The moment Katy got engaged, I told her I HAD TO photograph her wedding. At the end of September, I did! (You can see their engagement session here.) They got married in Kill Devil Hills at the gorgeous house they rented out for the week (Sandbox II). Katy and Drew are now living in Johnson City, Tennessee. Katy is photographing like crazy. Drew has started his own record label, Gold Ship Records.
Katy and Drew- THANK you both for allowing me to be a part of your special day/week. I miss you both! Mike and I can't wait to visit you and your future puppies in Tennessee!
Here are some of my favorite photographs from their wedding:
Special thanks to Mike for following around and being our driver and sherpa. Another special thanks goes out to Bethany and Matt for being our last minute voice activated light stands in the pitch black on the beach.
This wedding was shot on digital and film (medium format Kodak Portra 400). You can see my blog post about using film here.

A while back, I photographed Katy & Drew's engagement session at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. One of the backdrops we used was the St. John's Episcopal Church Ruins Well, that session led Chris to me even BEFORE he proposed to Callie!
Callie and Chris met in Hawaii (where Callie now lives), but they have spent much of their relationship apart since Chris was stationed in Georgia. Ever since the possibility of becoming engaged, Callie wanted to have the engagement shoot in front of church ruins. This lead to asking around, lots of google searching, the proposal, and finally the shoot!
