Welcome to our blog! We are based outside of Washington D.C. but we find ourselves traveling all over to photograph amazing events and people. Sit back and check out some of our latest work featuered here!
Last Friday morning, was not the warmest of mornings at all, but you could find me hanging out in front of the Lincoln Memorial in DC. I was there to photograph waiting to spot Pratik and his girlfriend, Ronak. They had flown in from Texas the evening before and were spending Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend in DC. Pratik wanted to kick it off by proposing to Ronak, and he did just that, AND she said YES!
Here are a some of my favorites from the surprise proposal:
Jade was one of my roommates at Elizabethtown College. She and I had a ton of fun living together in a cramped college dorm room. At the beginning of the fall semester of our junior year, she took me to her family's annual camping trip. Before going, she warned me to stay away from her brother's friends. They were "trouble." During the trip, she met Ryan... one of her brother's friends. The chemistry between them was instant. They started dating, and they have been together ever since. Years later, Jade and Ryan got married in Montego Bay, Jamaica at the Iberostar Resort! I was able to make the trip out there and photograph their gorgeous wedding.
Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding:
So morning after their wedding, Kate and Nick were troopers and came out for a sunrise session on the beach!
Here are a few of my favorites:
I have known Kate and Nick forever. Nick and I grew up in the same neighborhood. Kate and I played lacrosse together in high school. They started dating in high school and have been together ever since. Scott and I traveled to Bethany Beach, Delaware for their rehearsal dinner, wedding at the Bethany Beach Ocean Suites, and sunrise trash the dress session.
You can find the sunrise session here.

You know those weddings that you see in movies? The ones with the perfect weather. The ones that are at a venue that make your mouth drop. The ones that have such animated guests. The ones where the bride and groom look stunning. This was one of those weddings, but in real life.
Lucas met Anna through her sister, Katie. Katie worked for the same company as Lucas, and part of their job description is to go overseas for a few months at a time. Every trip, Anna would send a copious amount of cookies. Because there were so many cookies, Katie would always share them with her coworkers (aka Lucas). At some point on the trip, Lucas inquired about the talented baker. Katie showed him a picture of Anna, and he thought she was quite the cutie. Some time after they came home, Katie and Lucas attended an Anti-Valentines Day party. Katie brought Anna (who brought a cake of course), and she met Lucas for the first time. They were apparently quite smitten with each other, because they started dating not too long after that party. And now? THEY'RE MARRIED!
Summer storms are a normal thing (especially on the East Coast). It gets hot and humid, and the sky just opens up. Last Friday was like that just 10 times worse. Friday, June 1, 2012 - The entire Northern Virginia and DC Metro areas were absolutely plagued by massive storms. Tornado warnings were popping up all over the place. When it wasn't raining, it was hot and muggy. I was so worried that the weather guy was wrong about the next day being much better and that it would storm the entire day again. (I never said that to anyone because I didn't want to jinx it.) Saturday, June 2, 2012 - It was sunny, 72 degrees, no humidity, and gorgeous. It stayed that way the entire day. It was absolutely perfect. I guess the weatherman occasionally gets things right.
Anna was the perfect bride. Completely laid back and stress free throughout the day. She looked absolutely breathtaking in her dress. Lucas looked dashing, and knew how to keep the mood light and fun. I don't think I could've asked for a better couple to work with and photograph.
A HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to my second photographer and assistant, Cory and PJ! This wedding wouldn't have been such a success without you two.

A while back, I photographed Katy & Drew's engagement session at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. One of the backdrops we used was the St. John's Episcopal Church Ruins Well, that session led Chris to me even BEFORE he proposed to Callie!
Callie and Chris met in Hawaii (where Callie now lives), but they have spent much of their relationship apart since Chris was stationed in Georgia. Ever since the possibility of becoming engaged, Callie wanted to have the engagement shoot in front of church ruins. This lead to asking around, lots of google searching, the proposal, and finally the shoot!
