Current Favorites!

I actually had a lot of fun putting together my last Current Favorites post. I'm thinking of doing it more regularly.

Current Favorites: *Pinkberry- I had my FIRST taste of Pinkberry this past weekend. It was phenomenal. It has the National Yogurt Association's Live & Active Cultures seal (whatever that means), so I can totally justify treating myself to some without feeling bad. *Teavana tea- I've never been a big tea person, but I am ADDICTED to some of Teavana's teas. Current favorite blend? Samurai Chai Mate with White Ayurvedic Chai. mmmm <3 *Evernote- I had Evernote FOREVER ago, but never really utilized it until now. I use it for to-do lists, places to put inspiration, and so much more. There are a TON of other photographers (like Jeremy Cowart) who use it too. In fact, here is an article on how Jeremy uses it. *Cruising around with Adam listening to Jack Johnson with the windows down- I love spending time with him. We went location scouting together the other day, and the weather was gorgeous. What made it even better was Jack Johnson's "Better Together" came on. <3

{There is no combination of words I could put on the postcard And no song that I could sing, but I can try because this is your heart and this is Our dreams and they are made out of real things Like a shoebox of photographs with sepia-toned loving Love is the answer at least for most of the questions in my heart, like Why are we here? And where do we go? And how come it's so hard? It's not always easy and sometimes life can be deceiving I'll tell you one thing, it's so much better when we're together}

Laying Foundation

So I'm going to start off with some words of advice: DO NOT drink tea that is caffeinated (no matter how utterly delicious it is) anytime before bed. I did this tonight, and this is why I'm writing this at 3AM.

I keep on looking at this photo that I took in Sonoma this weekend. Every time I do, I remind myself where I want to be in the future. I want to have my own studio space eventually (not necessarily in the city). Someplace with a cozy lounge area, a room or two for taking photos, etc. This is the path I've started to lay foundation for.

Somewhere down the thought process, I start thinking about how everything did a 180 for me just as summer was staring in '09. Everything changed. Key word: everything. I caught everyone off guard, including myself. I ended up taking that hard way through things, and there were days where it was hard see to the light at the end. But I made it through... and I landed to where I am right now.

Was it hard? Absolutely. Do I regret any of it? No. I'm doing what I am meant to do while helping others remember that one moment where they were surrounded by so much love.
